Nicolás Finnigan travels to the coastal city of Santa Sofía del Mar to investigate the disappearance of a prominent scientist. There, he discovers that the man’s wife contracted a disease that turned her into a living dead. As he searches for the truth, the infection spreads rapidly, forcing the inhabitants to confine themselves to survive.
